Clermont County
Clermont County is located in southwestern Ohio and is a part of the Cincinnati Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was formed in 1800 as the eighth county established in the Northwest Territory. In 1796, Williamsburg was the first village established in the county. It remained as the county seat until 1823 when New Richmond took on that role. One year later the county seat moved to Batavia where it remains to this day. There are thirteen municipalities and fourteen townships.

Public Safety Communications
Clermont County upgraded from VHF Low Band to a new 800 MHz trunked radio system in the early 1990s, utilizing a Motorola Type II Smartzone system using analog and digital voice (P-16).
In April 2015, Clermont County merged the infrastructure of their existing trunked radio system to the new statewide Ohio MARCS-IP (P25) system as a six tower simulcast site of the statewide Ohio MARCS-IP system. All agencies in the county are now using this system. You will need a digital scanner to monitor it.
Some public safety agencies still make use of VHF and UHF conventional frequencies, those can be found on the Clermont County Database page here:

For historical reference, information on the former trunked radio system can be found here:

East Fork State Park
East Fork State Park is located 5 miles southeast of Batavia. It is maintained by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) and falls under ODNR Region 4. The 2,160 acre lake was completed in 1978 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who also maintain the lake for flood control. The lake is named for William H. Harsha who served for twenty years as congressman for the 6th District of Ohio. The lake occasionally plays hosts to rowing regattas and as an olympic level rowing practice course. All park communications are on the Ohio MARCS statewide system. Other VIP (Camp ground overseers) and campers can be heard using FRS radios throughout the summer camping season.
